Eight games played today
Today, July 5, a new draw has started Champions League. Eight matches were played in the first qualifying round.
In the first match of the game day, Pyunik played without goals at home against CFR Cluj. Ukrainians Sergei Vakulenko and Anton Bratkov spent all 90 minutes as part of the Armenian team.
Ludogorets, together with Ukrainian defender Igor Plastun, confidently defeated Sutjeska at his stadium – 2:0. Lekh coped minimally with Karabakh – 1:0. As part of the Polish team, the Ukrainian goalkeeper Artur Rudko played the entire match, while Georgiy Tsitaishvili, loaned from Dynamo Kyiv, remained on the bench, but never entered the field.
Ukraine in the current Champions League will be represented by two clubs – Shakhtar and Dynamo. The Pitmen, who finished last season in first place, will start immediately from the group stage and will recognize their rivals at the end of August.
Dynamo, which took second place, follows the path of the league representatives and will start its tournament path from the second qualifying round, where it will play against Fenerbahce. The first match of the stage will be held by the white-blues on July 20 in Lodz, Poland – it will be a home match for the Kiev team. The second match will take place on July 27 in Istanbul.
