“We planned to play against the Russian national team, but November 16 is too early for this match. Perhaps we will consider the possibility of organizing a friendly match with your team during the next international break in spring. The Zanzibar Football Federation and the Russian Football Federation discussed this possibility. If everything goes well, we will definitely inform about it,” the secretary general said in an interview with a Sport24 correspondent.
Zanzibar is not a member of FIFA and does not participate in the Africa Cup of Nations, as it is an autonomous region within Tanzania.
