VENICE
Bertinato 6 – He can’t do anything about Gion’s wonderful goal, which goes into the top corner. He’s ready for Catanzaro’s punches.
Mode 6 – A classic match for the Venezia defender: his experience in many cases helps him neutralize Catanzaro’s attacks.
Altar 6.5 – A few seconds before the end of the match, he saved the opportunity to equalize for Catanzaro with Brignola’s strike from very close range.
Sverko 6 – He gets injured twice. After the first injury, he returns to help the team as a warrior, but after the second he cannot cope and is forced to leave. S 76′ Dembele SV.
Candle 7 – He always anticipates Stoppa and is aggressive on every ball. He also pushes a lot in the attacking phase.
Tessmann 6.5 – The Venice midfielder is the leader of this team. A lot of the orange-green’s action goes through his legs.
Busio 6.5 – He struggles in midfield and lacks the energy to make a difference in the first half. In the second half, he makes many scoring chances and even comes close to scoring.
Ellertsson 7 – He earns a precious penalty after a devastating blow down the left flank. In the second half, he made a lot of dangerous moves. S 66′ Bjarkason 4 – He comes in and within minutes receives a heavy red card.
Johnsen 8 – He scores to make it 2-1, but he is definitely Venice’s best player on the field. The striker combines technique, quality of play and shooting like a great player. S 91′ Lella SV.
Pohjanpalo 7 – He converted Ellertsson’s penalty and played a superb game in midfield, with plenty of balls in his hands to help his side go up. S 76′ Gitkjaer 6 – He has a double chance to end the game but is unlucky on both shots.
Pierini 5.5 – In the first half, he didn’t particularly shine on the right flank; he also tried long passes into the depths, which were sometimes inaccurate. S 66′ Zampano 5 – He comes in to try and replace the lagging Pierini, but fails to get into the game.
Paolo Vanoli 8 – A match of quality and sacrifice on the part of his Venezia, who with ten men repelled Catanzaro’s last attacks well. The victory is very difficult for the rating.
CATANZARO
Fulignati 7 – In Pohjanpalo’s penalty area he was almost flawless, in Johnsen’s goal he touched the ball, but could not get away from the Venice goal. In the second half, he saves his team with two championship saves.
Veroli 6.5 – In the first half, he saved a goal scored from a superb diagonal, ahead of Pohjanpalo. S 75′ Miranda SV.
Brighenti 5.5 – Venezia’s forwards were lost on a number of occasions, which was not easy tonight given that Johnsen and Pohjanpalo are in excellent form.
Krainz 5.5 – He plays the same game as Brighenti. Sometimes he comes out of defense with the ball and personality towards the center of the field. S 91′ Biashi SV.
Situm 5 – He misjudges many crosses and Ellertsson gets completely lost in the penalty area and flies off alone towards the opponent’s goal. S 74′ Katseris 5.5 – He misses a few crosses but tries to make up for it with his running and intensity.
Vandeputte 7 – In the first half of the first half he took some time to get into the game, but then he made up for it with a beautiful pass towards Gion’s goal and a superb performance.
Pumps 6.5 – He fights in midfield and feels his body in both attack and defense, even when approaching a goal.
Gion 7 – He scored his first goal in this championship with a powerful shot from the penalty area, which went under the top corner.
Sounds 5 – You can see very little and it is not dangerous. Much more was expected from the Giallorossi striker in both the first and second half. C 68′ Brignola 6.5 – He came into the game well and came close to equalizing at the end.
Iemmello 6.5 – He keeps a few possessions in attack and sometimes tries to invent plays to put his teammates on goal, but he doesn’t always succeed.
Stop 5 – Candela practically marks him as a man and almost never lets him play. In the second half, nothing was invented to resolve the situation. S 68′ Ambrosino 6 – He actively enters the game and contributes.
Vincenzo Vivarini 6.5 – His team plays almost on equal terms with Venice, which is in amazing shape. In the final he is one step away from equalizing the score.
