Girona got an away win over Rayo Vallecano in the 13th round La Liga – 2:1.
The hosts took the lead in the fifth minute, midfielder Alvaro Garcia scored. However, the guests managed to radically change the situation on the field.
Even before the break, Ukrainian Artem Dovbik scored, assisted by his compatriot Viktor Tsygankov.
For Dovbik, this is the seventh goal for Girona in the current La Liga. Tsygankov scored his second assist this season.
Girona snatched victory in the second half. Savio scored the decisive goal.
Michel’s team continues to lead in La Liga. Girona has a five-point advantage over Real Madrid, but the Blancos will play their match of the reporting round today. Rayo is in ninth place: the team cannot win in the third round in a row.
In the next round, Girona will host Athletic on November 27. Rayo Vallecano will take on Barcelona two days earlier.
