Alexandria interrupted its 11-match winless streak in the championship
Head coach Alexandria Ruslan Rotan was pleased with the victory over Veres (1:0) in the match of the 14th round of the UPL.
“Emotions after such difficult victories are always positive. I am pleased with the team’s attitude to work. I said before, if we work so hard, the results will come. You saw that the game did not go according to our scenario, we did not score a penalty. But they showed character and fighting qualities that we lacked before.”
“Today the team looked at the level. We have potential. This means future victories are ahead.”
“At the start of the season, we lost confidence precisely after missed chances, but today, after a missed penalty, the team continued to chew on this victory and achieved a result. Today we were one and everyone worked for the result.”
Alexandria ended its 11-match winless streak in the championship. Rotan’s team takes 12th place in the UPL.
In the next round, Alexandria will host Obolon on November 26.
