Former head coach “Ural” Igor Shalimov declared himself surprised by the emotional behavior of the midfielder of the Yekaterinburg club Yuri Gazinsky which led to his elimination in the 15th round match of the Russian Championship with Krylia Sovetov.
Saturday’s meeting, held in Samara, ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the home team. Gazinsky received a red card for aggressive behavior after a clash with Roman Yezhov late in the match.
“I know Yura well, he’s a calm guy, it’s hard to irritate him. This is probably the situation in the team, there is no result, the game is not going well. Nervous situation inside, it’s strange to see that Yura couldn’t control himself. There are angry guys, but he is calm, a little strange,” Shalimov said in the program “Everyone for the match!” on the channel.
