Pedrinho was elected president of Vasco this Saturday, 11. At 46 years old, the former player and club idol won the election against lawyer Luis Roberto Leven Siano. In a vote among members, Jorge Salgado’s new replacement received 64.2% of the votes.
“I want to thank Leven. The dispute was fair and fair. He is very competent and deserves all the respect. Everything I said during the campaign continues. There were 3372 votes in the Yellow Plate, 1844 in the White Plate, 15 white and 21 invalid. Cruzmaltino’s election included in-person and online voting. Pedrinho was at the Calabouço Headquarters, in the center of Rio de Janeiro, throughout the day.
The former player represents the group “Semper Vasco”. He arrived at Cruzmaltino at the age of six, on the futsal team and became a professional player. At the club, he accumulated titles, including the 1998 Libertadores.
“When I take the step of leaving one of the largest media outlets in Latin America, having been elected the best commentator four times and I take this step, it is because I had a particular desire to return to Vasco and do something different. It’s about working and putting into practice everything I planned with this group”, completed.
During the election, Pedrinho wore the Vasco shirt with the name Helium and a stamped infinity symbol, as a tribute to the Vasco father, who passed away in 2008.
