The Krivbass coach is confident that Beskorovainy’s removal was a mistake and ruined his team’s game
Head coach Krivbassa Yuri Vernidub commented on the defeat from Dynamo in the 14th round Ukrainian Premier League.
“We wanted, as always, to win, but football is a sport, some people win, some don’t. It so happened that today we suffered our third defeat in the championship, from Dynamo – 0:2. But I still told the guys not to lower their heads, but to move on with their heads held high. Today we had a difficult game with the giants of Ukrainian football, and it was successful. It’s bad that we conceded the first goal like that, but we wanted to build attacks from the first minutes and play attacking football and create chances.”
“We were doing well, but this red card ruined our plans. However, even after we were left in the minority, we didn’t hit the ball just where, we still wanted to play football, we wanted to win back, but something was missing a little. But the most important thing is that we were not afraid to play football.”
“Yes, we lost the match – 0:2, but we didn’t lose the championship. Only 14 rounds have been played, many more matches remain. I am sure that if our team continues to play with such desire and discipline, then I think everything will be fine for us. Congratulations to Dynamo. Unfortunately, there is nothing to congratulate us today, but the time will come when they will congratulate us too.”
“Removal of Beskorovainy? From what we saw with the entire coaching staff, we believe that there was no red card. But then they will say that Vernidub does not know how to lose. I know how to lose. But if there is VAR at the game, then I don’t understand how the referees could not see the details of the moment, how they could not see that Beskorovainy did not play with his feet. Vanat fell, “drew” and coped with it – honor and praise that he was lucky. But I don’t understand why VAR is needed then.”
“In this episode, there wasn’t just a red card, there wasn’t even a yellow card. And there was no penalty there. But… deletion. We had to rebuild. “Minus one” in such a game is very difficult. I repeat, we continued to play and played well, creating chances. Let this mistake remain on the conscience of the referees who worked at the match today.”
Let us remind you that Vernidub’s team missed the first goal from Vladislav Vanat in the 8th minute, and already in the 12th minute they were left with ten men after Daniil Beskorovainy was sent off. By the end of half an hour, Dynamo scored for the second time and established the final score – 0:2.
Krivbass lost for the first time since October 1 and failed to maintain first place in the table, which it occupied for several rounds in a row. On November 25, after the international break, the Vernidub team will play away against Minaya.
