The Ukrainian came on as a substitute and took part in the scoring attack
Manchester city snatched an away victory over Chelsea in an extremely productive match of the 12th round English Premier League – 4:3.
The teams played recklessly, without defense, and exchanged goals twice before the break. For the visitors, Erling Haaland scored from the penalty spot for a foul on Mark Cucurella, then Thiago Silva scored for the hosts after a corner and Raheem Sterling scored from Reece James’ cross, but Manuel Akanji equalized the chances after a set piece.
The second half began with Haaland’s second goal due to a quick attack. In the 64th minute a Ukrainian appeared on the field Mikhail Mudrik, and just three minutes later he took part in the scoring attack. As a result, Ederson unsuccessfully parried Conor Gallagher’s shot, and Nicholas Jackson assisted in finishing – 3:3.
The denouement seemed to come in the 86th minute. A monstrous rebound from Thiago Silva after Rodri’s shot left Robert Sanchez out of action.
But in stoppage time, Ruben Dias mowed down fresh Armando Brou in the penalty area, and recent City player Cole Palmer calmly converted the penalty.
The final draw did not allow Man City to break away from Liverpool and Arsenal – Pep Guardiola’s team is only one point ahead of their pursuers. Chelsea, who scored 8 goals in two consecutive matches against the leaders of the Premier League, remains in tenth place with 16 points.
In the next round on November 25, Manchester City will host Liverpool, and the Blues will visit Newcastle.
