Rose’s team pushed Borussia D out of the Champions League zone
RB Leipzig managed to get a difficult victory over Freiburg in the home match of the 11th round of the German Bundesliga – 3:1.
The hosts quickly opened the scoring thanks to a quality strike from Javi Simons from outside the penalty area. The visitors managed to get even in the sixth of three stoppage minutes – Merlin Role scored an impressive solo pass.
The favorite still managed to achieve his goal closer to the end of the fight. The hero of the final period was substitute Christoph Baumgartner – first he earned a penalty for his team, and soon he scored from a pass from Simons.
The victory allowed Marco Rose’s team to leapfrog Borussia Dortmund and move up to fourth place. The Bulls scored 23 points and are 8 behind the leading Bayer. Freiburg remains eighth with 14 points.
On November 25, Leipzig will play away against Wolfsburg, and Freiburg will host Darmstadt.
