Former head coach of the Russian national team Stanislav Cherchesov on he wished the Krasnodar footballer Edouard Spertsian ignore the rumors about a possible transfer to a European club.
Earlier, Italian media reported that Juventus was interested in the footballer. Additionally, this summer there were reports of interest in him from Dutch Ajax and Feyenoord.
“I watched Feyenoord’s last two games in European competition, they played Lazio, I really liked them, they were a good team. We spent a year reading about how Zakharyan was moving somewhere this year and We saw how he started to slowly decline. Now he’s moved and it’s clear that it’s a different league, a different competitive environment. I would really like him [Сперцян] I read less newspapers and concentrate on my work. Well, if he really goes somewhere, then it will be the right step and he will play,” Cherchesov said on the air of the program “After Football with Georgy Cherdantsev”.
This season, 23-year-old Spertsyan played 18 matches in the MIR RPL and the Russian Cup, scored seven goals and provided three assists. His contract with Krasnodar expires in the summer of 2026.
