Guardiola: Chelsea had Mudryk and Palmer who were aggressive

City and Chelsea ended in a productive draw – 4:4

Head coach Manchester City Pep Guardiola summed up the results of the confrontation with Chelsea (4:4) in the match of the 12th round of the Premier League. The coach spoke separately about the play of the Blues’ Ukrainian winger Mikhail Mudryk.

“It was good publicity and an entertaining game for the Premier League. Indeed, both teams wanted to win. I wouldn’t expect anything different because Chelsea are a fantastic team with incredible players.”

“Chelsea are playing well against strong opponents. We had a hard time controlling the game, because Chelsea had Mikhail Mudrik and Cole Palmer, who acted aggressively, dribbling and attacking.”

“The game was tense, but the result was fair. Now I congratulate my team, we also reached the Champions League playoffs, so we are going to a break. After a pause, we will return and continue our journey.”

“Of course, I would have preferred a 7-0 win, but at this level that doesn’t happen. I don’t know how many shots there were during the match, but both we and Chelsea gave their best to achieve a positive result.”

Guardiola’s team is leading the Premier League, one point ahead of its closest pursuers – Liverpool and Arsenal. In the next round, on November 25, Manchester City will host Liverpool.
