After the change of power in the UAF, serious personnel changes are coming
Luciano Lucilong-time head of the Arbitrators Committee Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), will leave his post, reports journalist Viktor Vatsko. The main contender to replace him is considered to be a current football referee, a former FIFA referee. Yaroslav Kozyk.
It is assumed that these changes will occur after the replacement of Andrei Pavelko as president of the UAF.
The 73-year-old Rays have been in Ukrainian football for a long time. In 2010, he was appointed assistant to Pierluigi Collina, curator of the refereeing corps of the Football Federation of Ukraine. Since June 2016, Luchi has headed the FFU/UAF Arbitrators Committee.
Kozyk, 43, has been refereeing Ukrainian Premier League matches since 2010. He refereed 7 UPL matches this season, incl. Dynamo – Shakhtar. From 2013 to 2021, a native of Mukachevo was a FIFA referee.
Let us recall that in early November the UPL demanded that the UAF convene an extraordinary reporting and election Congress. It is expected that a new UAF president should be elected there instead of Andrei Pavelko, who is under investigation.
FC Chernomorets in its latest statement expressed the hope that the elections of the UAF President will become a real catalyst for changes in the work of referees.
