Athletistic/Football. Former CSKA striker Valery Masalitin expressed his opinion on the performance of the military team in the first round of the Russian Premier League and analyzed the work of head coach Vladimir Fedotov.

“I think CSKA’s first round was not successful. The team failed to find its style of play. There were times when the match looked good, but there were had too many errors. The balance between defense and field was not maintained. The only thing that suits us is offensive actions. A team’s position at the top of the standings depends solely on its offensive game.

If you rate CSKA’s results on a five-point scale, it’s probably a C. Fedotov has failed to unlock the potential of young players and the question is how they will compete. Unfortunately, under Fedotov’s leadership, virtually no one has improved their game this season. Chalov and Oblyakov remained at their level. Rocha and Moises did not bring stability in the previous season – their performances raise certain doubts,” Masalitin noted in an interview with a “Championship” correspondent.

Recall that at the end of the first round of the Russian Premier League, CSKA occupies fifth place in the standings, gaining 25 points in 15 matches. Krasnodar leads with 32 points.
