The ex-world champion is leaning towards an advantage in favor of the Ukrainian boxer
Former absolute world champion in two weight categories Evander Holyfield believes that the WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO title holder Alexander Usik will have an advantage in a fight with the WBC champion Tyson Fury.
“It should be a great fight and hand speed will be key. Who can withstand more blows? Usyk has a lot of things, and he’s left-handed.”
“Fury has performed so well many times and his styles define the fights. When a boxer fights a big man, moves faster and can throw powerful punches, he can win. But if you get hit, it could be over. Life is about not giving up. I sincerely believe that Usyk does not want to give up, so he will be there. He has a great balance for that.”
The fight between Usik and Fury is planned to take place on February 17 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. An official announcement of the event is expected within a week.
Previously, the fight was planned to be organized on December 23 in Riyadh. However, it later became known that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare by this time after the fight with ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou.
