Athletistic/Football. A Serie A football club was considering the possibility of acquiring Spartak striker Alexander Sobolev to strengthen its offensive line. The Russian striker met the Italians’ requirements in terms of playing qualities. However, according to Metaratings, the club refused to sign the contract due to the player’s disciplinary problems.

According to the source, representatives of the Italian team were alarmed by the large number of yellow cards and scandalous incidents in which Sobolev participated on the football field. One of these episodes included an obscene gesture by Sobolev towards CSKA defender Willian Rocha the previous season. As a result, the matter was never the subject of official requests to Spartak.

Note that recently, Spartak head coach Guillermo Abascal rarely includes Alexander Sobolev in the starting lineup. The media and telegram channels also report a possible conflict between the coach and the player.
