The first video explanation of the interpretation of game episodes was supposed to appear on October 24, but the release was never released
Minai on the club’s official website reacted to information that Ukrainian Football Association extended the contract with the head of the Arbitrators Committee Luciano Luci until June 2024.
“Today the football community was stirred up by the news that the Ukrainian Football Association has extended the contract with the Italian curator of the Committee of Referees Luciano Luci. Even before the official announcement, the Minaj football club is in a hurry to congratulate the 74-year-old specialist on the new agreement. We hope that Mr. Luciano Luci will continue to listen to the opinion of the leaders of UPL clubs and still keep his promise to go public on a weekly basis and analyze controversial or “hot” moments with the participation of referees in matches. By preliminary agreement, the first video on the Association’s YouTube channel was to appear on October 24. But the expected release never came out.
The last online meeting of UPL club leaders with the UAF Referees Committee took place on October 11. Since then, the only clarification of the interpretation of game episodes by the judges appeared on November 13 and in the old text format. Clubs and fans received explanations for six episodes of five matches of the 13th and 14th rounds of the UPL.
We would like to remind the Committee of Referees and the UAF and inform the fans that video explanations of the interpretation of game episodes with the participation of Luciano Luchi should have been released weekly a few days after the completion of the last match of the tour. The committee completely ignored the 11th and 12th rounds. Since the Committee of Referees does not have the right to enter into private correspondence with clubs, we decided to publicly recall the promises and agreements,” Minaya said in a statement.
Earlier, journalist Viktor Vatsko reported that Luchi would leave his position after a change in the leadership of the UAF. The main contender to replace the Italian is considered to be the current football referee, ex-FIFA referee Yaroslav Kozyk.
The 74-year-old Rays have been in Ukrainian football for a long time. In 2010, he was appointed assistant to Pierluigi Collina, curator of the refereeing corps of the Football Federation of Ukraine. Since June 2016, Luchi has headed the FFU/UAF Arbitrators Committee.
Minaj is in last place in the current UPL season, gaining six points and not winning a single match out of 14. In the next match, the Transcarpathians will host Kryvbas on November 25.
