The Georgian national team, despite Kvaratskhelia’s double, failed to beat Scotland in Euro 2024 qualifying

Georgia national football team drew at home with Scotland team during a qualifying round match for the 2024 European Championship.

The Group A match ended with a score of 2:2. For the hosts, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored a brace, while Scott McTominay and Lawrence Shankland scored for the visitors.

In another foursome match Spain team beat on the road Cyprus team with a score of 3:1. Lamin Yamal, Mikel Oyarzabal and Joselu, 16, scored goals for the winners. The Cypriot goal was scored by Kostas Pileas. In the 40th minute, Real Sociedad captain and teammate of Russian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan Oyarzabal was substituted due to injury.

Spain (18 points) and Scotland (16) occupy 1 to 2 places in the group and have already obtained access to the final phase of Euro 2024.

Two matches took place within Group F: Estonia — Austria (0:2) and Azerbaijan — Sweden (3:0). In this group, the Austrians and Belgians qualified for the Euro.
