In the Donetsk club, he should be replaced by Igor Jovichevich
Shakhtar head coach Roberto De Zerbi no longer manages the Ukrainian team.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported that De Zerbi terminated the labor agreement with the Miners.
De Zerbi has worked at Shakhtar since May last year, when the ex-coach of Sassuolo replaced the Portuguese Luis Castro.
Under his leadership, the Pitmen took first place in the prematurely completed 2021/22 Ukrainian Premier League season, and also won the Ukrainian Super Cup.
De Zerbi announced his possible departure from Shakhtar in early May. The coach has offers from several clubs in Italy, and interest from Galatasaray and Fenerbahce has also been reported.
De Dzerbi should be replaced in Shakhtar by Igor Jovicevich, whose last place is SC Dnepr-1. The Croatian was offered a contract for a period of two years.
The last championship of Ukraine was ended ahead of schedule due to the attack of Russian troops. Shakhtar ended the season in first place and advanced to the Champions League group stage.
The start of the new season of the Ukrainian Premier League is tentatively scheduled for August 23.
