Libertadores title boosts the Rio tricolor in international rankings; check out
The Rio tricolor is in good spirits. After the title of LibertadoresO Fluminense made a big leap in the ranking of the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), an institution that evaluates the performance of clubs around the world.
Before the continental title, Fluminense occupied 21st place in the ranking. After winning, the club rose 11 positions, ensuring its presence in the top 10 of the list. To the joy of the tricolors, the club overtook rival Flamengo, which is in 11th place.
Fluminense, however, is not the best positioned Brazilian club on the list. The Palmeiras of Abel Ferreira is in 5th place, and Fortaleza occupies 6th position in the international ranking. The list is based on each club’s recent results, evaluating a series of statistics and variables.
