Brazhko: We won a key match with England and are going to qualify for the European Championship

The Ukrainian youth team will hold matches with Luxembourg and Azerbaijan

Midfielder Ukrainian youth team Vladimir Brazhko determined to win a ticket to the European Championship 2025 U-21.

“We are getting better as a team every training camp, but, of course, there is room to grow. We work more, we understand each other more. Of course, there are certain changes in approaches to work, but the main thing is to fulfill the requirements of the coaching staff.”

“The match with England was decisive, and, in my opinion, we carried out the plan for it and beat our opponents. We need to follow the same line in the matches with the teams of Luxembourg and Azerbaijan, and I think everything will be fine for us.”

“We recently met with Luxembourg. This is a pretty unyielding team. He’s trying to play football and cover our players. We already know this opponent, we will learn more and try to win in the second meeting. As for the Azerbaijani national team, we will receive all the necessary information from the coaching staff and will prepare for this game as well.”

“I have already played at the European Championship, but I want to get there again! I think we have a good chance, because I know the level of the guys and the team as a whole. Perhaps few believed that we could beat the England team, especially after they defeated the Serbs – 9:1. But we did it and we are not going to relax. We want to qualify for the European Championship.”

Unai Melgosa’s team will play against Luxembourg on November 17, and then will meet with Azerbaijan on November 21. Let us remind you that nominally home matches for Ukraine in the qualification for the 2025 European Championship in November will be held in Murcia, Spain, at the Nueva Condomina stadium.

The Ukrainian U-21 team has nine points after three matches and is the sole leader of Group F. England and Serbia have 6 points each. Luxembourg, Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan each have three points after their opening matches.
