The head coach of the Ukrainian national team Oleksandr Petrakov told how the team will prepare for the semi-final match of the playoffs of the 2022 World Cup qualification against Scotland.

“First of all, I would like to thank UAF President Andriy Pavelko and UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin for organizing this important training camp for the Ukrainian national team, as well as the state leadership, who gave us permission who temporarily left Ukraine to defend its interests abroad.

Earlier, in a meeting with the head of the UAF, I asked to be given the opportunity to assemble a team on April 29, because, as you know, we missed the FIFA dates in March due to the army invasion of Russia to Ukraine. , so players are completely deprived of gaming training. So it’s important to get together on 29th April so we can prepare well for the most important match against Scotland and the next official games. In June, a busy game calendar awaits us, and therefore the usual collection time will not be enough. Therefore, I am personally grateful to the UEFA President for his help and for the opportunity to gather at a great training center near his native Ljubljana.

I would like to thank Dynamo and Shakhtar and their personal head coaches and presidents. Club camps will help national team players get to the start of our training cycle in the best possible condition. It’s important that clubs get together earlier, and players get the tone of play. We asked UEFA to arrange the matches for us on the following dates: May 2, 6, 10 and 14. After that, on May 15-16, I plan to give the guys two days off so they can meet with their families.
