The match in Rome ended with a score of 5:2. For the hosts, Matteo Darmian scored in the 17th minute, Federico Chiesa (41, 45), Giacomo Raspadori (81), Stefan El-Shaarawy (90+3).
Yani Atanasov scored twice for the visitors (52nd, 74th).
In the parallel match of group C, the England team defeated the Malta team – 2:0. Maltese defender Enrique Pepe scored an own goal in the 8th minute, another goal was scored by Harry Kane (75).
The European Championship will take place from June 14 to July 14, 2024. Ten German cities will host the tournament matches: Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart.
