Decisive in Botafogo, Jana Queiroz projects final against Flamengo

Jana Queiroz scored one of the goals that qualified Botafogo in the semifinal against Vasco; Gloriosas decide Carioca Feminino against Flamengo

With an eye on the second Carioca Feminino championship, the Botafogo will take the field next Sunday, the 19th, to face Flamengo. The Gloriosas achieved a hard-earned classification in the semi-final over the Vasco.

The defender Jana Queirozmember of the team that scored one of the goals in the match against Cruzmaltino, spoke about the goal scored in the semi-final.

“The goal against Vasco was very special, not only because it was one of the goals that helped us reach the decision, but it also had a special feeling for me. I was unable to participate in the last few games and was able to return in the semi-final and help the team qualify for the grand final”, he said.

After classification, the Gloriosas would begin work towards the grand final, which will be decided in a single game. Jana Queiroz spoke about preparing for the final and highlighted the particularities of a final.

“The final always has a different weight, it is a game with specific characteristics, especially a final decided in just one match. We are making good preparation. Our team is very qualified and showed this throughout the competition. We will enter the field focused and with our objective well defined, which is to seek the title”he concluded.

Flamengo and Botafogo face each other next Sunday, 19th, at 10am (Brasília time), at Estádio da Gávea. There will be no advantage for either team, and whoever wins will be crowned champion. In case of a draw, the match will be decided on penalties.
