Brescia is in the sights of Slim’s Mexicans. But the company denies receiving offers.

There were rumors today about a possible offer coming to the table. Massimo Cellino for the purchase of Brescia, an offer that was even considered mandatory. According to reports from Bresciaingol.it the entrepreneur interested in the club will be Mexican Carlos Slimone of the richest people in the world with assets of $95.3 billion and working in various sectors from telecommunications to banking, as well as the production and export of tobacco and oil from his country.

INTERESTS IN FOOTBALL – Slim is not a new name in the world of football, given that his company Grupo Carso came to Europe in 2012, buying a controlling stake, 35%, of Real Oviedo, which plays in the Iberian Segunda. In addition, Slim owns 30% of the shares of two of the most important clubs in Mexico, such as Leon and Pachuca.

NEGATION – A few hours after the publication of rumors about a possible change of owner, Cellino issued a statement on its official channels refuting the rumors:

“Referring to the news published today by local online newspapers, the Brescia club categorically denies having received any offer, especially a binding one. The company believes that the misinformation created is harmful to the peace of the environment and relationships with fans. In light of the above, Brescia reserves the right to take any legal action to protect its image.”
