Athletistic/Football. The decisive qualifying matches for Euro 2024 take place in November. Teams from some countries of the former USSR can also qualify for the European Championship. Among them, we can mention the Kazakhstan national team. This team has never qualified for the European Championship. But this time, Magomed Adiev’s team maintains its chances of qualifying for the continental championship until the last moment.

On Friday, November 17, the Kazakhstan national team had to take an important step. In Astana, Magomed Adiev’s team met the San Marino team.

In the 19th minute, Islam Chesnokov gave the Kazakh team the lead. After Zuev’s shot, the goalkeeper hit the ball not far away, and the defender also carried it not far away – approximately to the edge of the penalty area. There was absolutely only Chesnokov, who handled the ball and hit under the crossbar with his left foot.

In the 51st minute, Islam Chesnokov scored twice. He responded to a deep throw, moved to the center and fired a clean shot towards goal from 25 yards. The ball hit the opponent’s net from the post.

In the 60th minute, the San Marino team managed to score a goal. Its author was Simone Franciosi. Capicchioni made a throw into the penalty area, Rossi fought and made a pass into the goalkeeper’s area – the ball, after a bounce, hit the post and Franciosi hit the empty goal from two meters.

At the end of the match, Abat Aimbetov put an end to the game. He converted the penalty. Aimbetov placed the ball into the bottom corner of the goal from the penalty spot. Benedettini guessed the direction of the strike, but failed to save the team.

Thus, Kazakhstan won with a score of 3:1. Magomed Adiev’s team scored 18 points and took third place in the group. Kazakhstan has a match against Slovenia ahead of them. The winner of the match will occupy second place in the group and receive a ticket to Euro 2024.

Russian football fans reacted to Kazakhstan’s victory over San Marino. They left their comments in the official Match TV community on VKontakte.

– We must win the head-to-head against Slovenia.

Viktor Ivanov:

– Well done, of course, well done, but how could you miss SAN MARINO??

– Chesnokov’s good debut, 2+0, as soon as I see the name Chesnokov, I immediately remember the tennis player Andrey, who made a crazy comeback against Shtikh in the Davis Cup, winning nine match points.

Oleg Smirnov:

– It would be a miracle to beat the Slovenes, they are now in incredible shape.
