Ukrainian Yaroslav Amosov (27-1) lost to a Jamaican fighter Jason Jackson (17-4) and lost the championship title Bellator at welterweight. The fight took place in American Chicago as part of the Bellator 301 tournament.
Yaroslav started the fight uncertainly. The first two rounds were left to the Jamaican fighter. In the third round, Amosov missed a heavy blow and fell, Jackson rushed to finish him off. Yaroslav tried to get up, but failed. After this, the referee stopped the fight.
Amosov suffered the first defeat in his professional career. The Ukrainian has held the Bellator championship title since 2021 and made one successful defense in a fight with Logan Storley.
Jackson last lost in 2019 via split decision to Ed Ruth. The Jamaican’s winning streak totals seven fights.
