Athletistic/Football. The youth teams of Israel and Poland observed a minute of silence during their match. The players froze for several dozen seconds immediately after the starting whistle.

Such an unusual situation is due to the fact that UEFA has prohibited teams from observing a minute’s silence before the start of the match. After the starting whistle, the Israeli national team players played the ball in the center of the field and then stopped. Polish players followed suit. As a result, the teams observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Note that in the end the Poles beat the Israelis with a score of 2:1.

The Palestinian-Israeli conflict intensified on October 7, when representatives of Hamas invaded Israeli territory. That evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation and declared that his country was now at war. The armed conflict continues today.
