The Ukrainian youth team forward scored in the match with Luxembourg
Attack Ukrainian national team U-21 Vladislav Vanat commented on the victorious match with Luxembourg (4:0) in qualifying European Youth Championship 2025.
“In the first goal, the connection worked, not only Dynamo’s, Batagov from Zarya got involved. It was a good goal. Before the game, I asked Nazar when he would give me a goal. He scores goals himself, but doesn’t give away assists – so he gave them away. I hope it will continue to be like this.”
“I understood that there was little chance of playing against Italy, that’s what they told me. That’s why I’m here helping, trying to score as many goals as possible. I made passes, but the guys couldn’t score. But it’s okay, we’ll score in the next game.”
“I’m not very happy with my game, I could have played better. But he scored a goal. The main thing is to score. And the rest will fade into the background.”
Vanat opened the scoring in the match with Luxembourg after a combination involving Arseniy Batagov and Nazar Voloshin. In the second half, Batagov and Voloshin scored themselves, and Igor Krasnopir completed the rout.
Having won their fourth victory in four matches, the Ukrainian youth team is confidently leading in qualifying group F. On November 21, Ukraine will host Azerbaijan. The match, like the meeting against Luxembourg, will take place in Murcia, Spain.
