“The density of the standings is more pleasant than surprising. Most teams still have chances. If everything continues like this until the end of the season, there will be a lot of interest and excitement. That’s probably how it is that it should be in a good championship. When your champion is known in five rounds until the end… There is a champion, and the remaining places are already so important. So there are not many interest in watching the remaining matches.
Anything can happen now. Perhaps the Russian championship will be interesting until the last round. I believe that Zenit will not become champion. Why not? Everything can happen. After all, this has happened before. Everything ends sooner or later. Maybe this year we will see another champion in the RPL,” Leshchuk said as quoted by “Championship”.
Zenit has won the RPL five seasons in a row. This season, Sergei Semak’s men have scored 30 points in 15 days and occupy second place in the RPL standings, two points behind Krasnodar.
