Haaland will miss Norway’s match against Scotland with an ankle injury

The forward feels pain and will not have time to recover by Sunday

Manchester City striker Norwegian national team Erling Haaland will not help his national team in the qualifying match against Scotland European Championship 2024. The forward injured his ankle in the control match with the Faroe Islands (2:0).

“The injury is not serious, but he is in so much pain and is somewhat limited in his functions. The game with Scotland, unfortunately, will take place too early,” said Norway team doctor Ola Sand.

Haaland came on as a substitute at half-time in the match against the Faroe Islands. The forward failed to distinguish himself in the match and finished the match with injury.

The Norwegian team takes third place in Group A of the qualification. Spain and Scotland have already secured direct spots for Euro 2024 from the group. The Scotland v Norway match will take place on Sunday 19 November.
