Warren also updated the record for the youngest footballer in Le Blais history
Midfielder PSG Warren Zaire-Emery set two new records at once as part of the national team France.
The midfielder was in Le Bleu’s starting line-up for the 2024 EURO qualifying match against Gibraltar. Zaire-Emery became the youngest player in French history, making his senior debut at the age of 17 years and 255 days.
In addition, Warren scored a goal in the 16th minute of the match. Thus, Zaire-Emery set a record, becoming the youngest goal scorer in the history of the national team.
In January, Warren Zaire-Emery became the youngest PSG player ever to start the team in official matches. At the time of the match with Chateauroux in the French Cup, Zaire-Emery was 16 years, 9 months and 29 days old.
France secured early access to the 2024 European Championship. After the first half, Didier Deschamps’ team crushed Gibraltar with a score of 7:0.
