Athletistic/ Football. Former Zenit midfielder Magomed Ozdoev has shared his opinion on the problems in Russian football.

“We have very few football players, because Russia is not a football country. People from many regions do not have the opportunity to play football purely physically. How will a guy from the Far East play- If it’s winter there for eight months, not a million kids, but thirty were involved in football,” Ozdoev said.

Magomed’s last club was Zenit Saint Petersburg, where he played from 2018 to 2022. On May 25, 2022, Ozdoev left the club after his contract expired. Now the player is in free agent status. On his own – 116 games, 8 goals and 11 assists for the club from St. Petersburg in all tournaments.

Ozdoev previously played for Lokomotiv Moscow (2010-2015), Rubin Kazan (2014-2016; 2017) and Terek Grozny (2017; from the 2017/2018 season the club is called Akhmat).
