Victory for Lavrinenko’s team was brought by a goal from Brazilian Julio Cesar
Ear And Veresthe Ukrainian Premier League clubs, took advantage of the international break to hold a friendly match.
The match took place in Kovalivka. The Rivne club managed to win away with a minimal score of 1:0. The only goal was scored by Brazilian defender Julio Cesar. He closed the serve from a set piece performed by Andrey Kuharuk.
In the second half, Veres remained in the minority, but, by agreement of the parties, the expelled Nikolai Gaiduchik was replaced by Roman Kovaluk.
Cesar is a 26-year-old central defender who came to Veres this summer and has not yet scored in official matches for the Ukrainian club.
Veres is in penultimate place in the UPL. Sergei Lavrinenko’s team has not won since September 1. Kolos ranks sixth.
On November 25, Veres will host Metalist 1925 in the Ukrainian Championship. Kolos will play against Obolon on December 2.
