Athletistic/Football. Zenit defender Daniil Krugovoy explained why the blue-white-blues this fall did not play as regularly in the RPL as in the previous five seasons.

“It’s difficult to answer this question. We played a lot of away matches and we didn’t always feel ideal there. Wendel joined us a little later, Daler Kuzyaev and Malkom left. It’s hard to get used to when the team doesn’t. I don’t have a player who can carry the ball alone and hit. Daler did a lot of work.

“Zenith does not have a replacement for Malcom, we are now trying different schemes to find the right balance,” Krugovoi is quoted in the Championship.

Malcolm officially became a player for Saudi club Al-Hilal in early August. The Middle Eastern club bought the Brazilian’s contract from Zenit for 60 million euros and signed a three-year contract with the footballer.

After the first round, Zenit is two points behind leader Krasnodar and takes second place in the Russian Premier League standings.
