Athletistic/Football. The father of former Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino has died while on holiday with his family in Dubai.
According to Brazilian publication UOL, the 62-year-old’s cause of death was a heart attack. From now on, the footballer’s family will have to complete all the administrative formalities to send his father’s body to Brazil, where he will be buried.
Last summer, Roberto Firmino entered the free agent market after ending his eight-year alliance with Liverpool. With the English club, the striker played 362 matches in all tournaments, scored 111 goals and made 72 assists.
As a result, the 32-year-old Brazilian signed a three-year contract with Al-Ahly as a free agent. This season, Firmino has appeared in 14 matches for the Saudi club in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
