The day before, November 19, in the match of the 10th day of Group J, the Portuguese national team defeated Iceland at home with a score of 2:0. After this meeting, the Portuguese scored 30 points out of 30 possible.
In nine qualifying matches for the European Championship, Ronaldo has scored 10 goals and one assist. The 38-year-old Portuguese in the race for scorers of the entire selection lost only to the Belgian Romelu Lukaku, who scored 14 times.
