Ukraine U-19 national team crushed Slovakia in the third round of the qualifying mini-tournament European Youth Championship 2024 – 4:0.
The ten minutes in the middle of the first half were decisive. Ivan Ermachkov opened the scoring, Maxim Derkach scored the second goal six minutes later, and Taras Mikhavko brought the score to a crushing three minutes later. At the end of the second half, Matvey Ponomarenko scored and set the final result.
The Ukrainian national team guaranteed itself participation in the elite round of Euro 2024 qualification. Oleg Kuznetsov’s team scored six points and came out on top. Let us remind you that in the first round the blue-yellows beat Malta (3:1), and then lost to Kosovo (0:4). The exact place of the Ukrainian team will be known after the match between Kosovo and Malta.
The winners of the elite round groups will advance to the finals of the European Championship, along with hosts Northern Ireland. Euro 2024 U-19 will take place from 15 to 28 July 2024.
