Croatia beat Armenia and qualified for Euro 2024

As expected, Wales, a potential rival of the Ukrainian national team, will go to the Nations League playoffs from Group D

Team Croatia in the final qualifying round match Euro 2024 in group D with a minimal score beat Armenia at home – 1:0.

Zlatko Dalic’s team, in order not to depend on the parallel result in the match between Wales and Turkey, needed a victory by any score. And the hosts achieved this result. At the end of the first half of the match, Ante Budimir, ahead of the defender, successfully completed Borna Sosa’s cross.

In the second half, the hosts, as before the break, played with an advantage, they could have scored more, but they couldn’t. Just as Alexander Petrakov’s team was unable to answer them with anything significant.

With 16 points, Croatia takes second place and enters the European Championship after Turkey. Armenia is fourth with eight points, but until the penultimate round they fought to leave the group.

Third-placed Wales will play in the Nations League play-offs in March 2024. In the semi-finals of Division A, the British team’s opponent will be one of three teams – Ukraine, Finland or Iceland. This will be determined by a draw on November 23.
