Athletistic/Football. The press service of the Russian national team reacted to the decision of midfielder Alan Dzagoev to end his career. A video of Alan’s goals in the match of the first round of the group stage of Euro 2012 against the Czech national team (4:1) was posted on the national team’s social networks.

“We eliminate Alan with his double against the Czech Republic. Thank you for the brilliant game and the emotions,” the Russian team said in a statement.

Dzagoev’s last club was the Greek Lamia, with which he managed to play only two matches. Before that, Alan defended the colors of Rubin. In the 2022/2023 season, the midfielder played 20 matches for Kazan and scored three goals. Previously, he played for CSKA Moscow for 14 years. Together with the military team, Dzagoev became a three-time champion of Russia. At club level, he made 435 appearances and scored 89 goals and 95 assists. In the national team, he has 58 matches and scored nine goals.
