The blue-yellows got three points thanks to Brazhko’s goal
National team goalkeeper Ukraine U-21 Ruslan Neshcheret commented on the victory over Azerbaijan (1:0) in the qualifying round Euro 2025 (U-21).
“It was a difficult game, perhaps because Azerbaijan defended very well. There were moments that we had to implement, crossbars. We deservedly won, but our opponents have a good team. I think this result is natural.”
“We achieved the goal that the coach set for us. I think we played these five games flawlessly heading into the winter break. Therefore, everything is super,” the goalkeeper concluded.
After the victory, the head coach of the national team, Unai Melgosa, defender Konstantin Vivcharenko and the scorer of the only goal in the match with Azerbaijan, Vladimir Brazhko, spoke out.
The blue-and-yellows hold the lead in Group F, three points ahead of England. Let us note that Unai Melgosa’s team achieved five victories in five rounds.
Ukraine U-21 will play the next match in the spring of 2024. On March 26, Melgosa’s team will compete with Azerbaijan on the road.
