The ex-player of nine UPL clubs will share his experience with the younger generation
Former midfielder Rukha Valery Fedorchuk officially received the position sports director of the youth sports school Lviv club.
“Without hesitation, I responded to the offer of the school management, because I want to try myself in a new role – now as a manager. Here I will try to share my extensive football experience acquired over a long career. This is the first factor.”
“Secondly, I will contribute to the development of the children of the Rukhov school, help them become better, so that in the future they can continue their football career in the Rukh system. And third, I will learn and develop, because the Rukh Youth Sports School employs professional specialists who already have experience working with youth,” the 35-year-old ex-football player commented on his appointment.
From 2007 to 2020, Fedorchuk played in Ukraine for PFC Lviv, Dnepr, Krivbass, Karpaty, Volyn, Dynamo, Veres and Mariupol, as well as for a short time for the Latvian Riga. He transferred to Rukh in August 2020. There he ended his football career in the spring of 2023 at the age of 34. The midfielder’s farewell was held before the start of the match between Lviv and Kolos in the 17th round of the UPL 2022/23.
Fedorchuk is the author of Rukh’s historic first goal in the Ukrainian Premier League. For the yellow-blacks, he played 45 matches as a central midfielder and scored five goals. In total, Valery played 296 matches at the elite level during his career and scored 22 goals.
Rukh’s adult team in the Ukrainian Premier League under the leadership of Vitaly Ponomarev is having a strong first round. The Lviv team, having played 14 matches, occupy fifth position in the championship with 24 points. Rukh will play his next match on November 26 away against Dynamo Kyiv.
