At a regular midweek press conference at home Venice midfielder spoke Mato Yajalo. Here are some of his statements taken from the official website of the Laguna club:
“I feel good, I’m healed. I worked really hard last week and then I had to play 45 minutes in a friendly on Saturday. I couldn’t wait to get back to playing, the first phase of recovery was focused on me and my body, but now that I’m back in the group I’m very focused on the team and our opponents. The last few years have been difficult due to two knee injuries, but I never thought about giving up or giving up, that’s my mentality. My family was very close to me, my wife and my children are what give me strength in life.
Bari are a strong team, a difficult opponent with experienced players, but we must think about ourselves and continue in the same spirit. When I came here I saw the professionalism of everyone, the team was there and it took a little time to grow. The results this season are not a surprise given the end of last season in which no one believed we could make the play-offs, but now we just need to look forward and not think about the past.”
