Athletistic/Football. “Rostov” announced a favorable decision on the issue of termination of the contract with Mathias Normann before the FIFA Football Court.

At the beginning of August, it became known that the Norwegian defensive midfielder had requested the termination of his contract with Rostov. Norman then signed a deal with Saudi club Al-Raed.

“On November 15, a meeting of the FIFA Football Tribunal was held in the case between FC Rostov, FC Al-Raed and the player Mathias Normann.

The player was found guilty of premature and unjustified termination of the contract. The court ordered Norman to pay compensation to the Rostov football club.

Al-Raed Football Club bears joint responsibility for this payment,” reads the official statement from the Russian team.

Mathias Normann moved to Rostov in early 2019 and played 56 matches for the team. He was then loaned to Norwich and then Dynamo. Last summer, Norman voluntarily left the Moscow team, leaving Russia, citing concerns for his safety in the country.
