Serie A newcomer signs midfielder Bergamasco on loan
Monza announced the loan of Atalanta midfielder Matteo Pessina.
The midfielder will spend the 2022/23 season with Monza. Also, a newcomer to Serie A will be able to buy out the player’s contract if certain conditions are met. It was reported that such a condition is the preservation of a residence permit in the elite division of the Italian championship.
25-year-old Pessina is a graduate of Monza. As part of the biancorossi, he spent his first season at a professional level (2014/15).
Pessina scored two goals and provided one assist in 37 Atalanta games last season.
The Serie A rookie has announced the loan of Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi. Monza is also trying to sign Shakhtar defender Marlon.
In May, Monza advanced to Serie A for the first time in history. The owner of the club is the former president of Milan, Silvio Berlusconi.
