Nadein: Veres has no bankruptcy

The President said that the club is undergoing a procedure for settling accounts payable

The president Veresa Ivan Nadein told the club no threat of bankruptcy. Rovnetsy are undergoing the procedure for settling accounts payable.

“There is no bankruptcy. This is a normal process that will not affect the life of the club in any way. A generally accepted procedure in the world for settling accounts payable. Football is a losing business. The vast majority of Ukrainian clubs are unprofitable.”

“Veres is a public joint stock company that submits its audited statements according to international standards. We undergo a comprehensive financial reporting audit. Over the three years of activity of the Public Joint Stock Company, we have indeed acquired a certain amount of debt. The fields were built. Indeed, there is a debt to the contractor. But it’s all settled.”

“The only legal mechanism is the procedure we have gone through. This is not a bankruptcy declaration. A procedure that will be settled legally by a court decision. This is healing and restoration. According to this procedure, we will come out debt-free and this will be a positive signal for our shareholders. A sign that we know how to openly work with debts, and not resolve this issue under the carpet. I am confident that the value of our shares on the stock exchange will only increase.”

“Our future strategy is definitely youth development. To do this, we selected talented children and launched an academy. We are looking for talents for the U-19 team. In the summer they tried to strengthen the main team with experienced football players. It didn’t work.”

“It must be admitted that the summer transfer campaign did not produce results. We increased the budget, increased the payroll, but this did not produce any results. We will draw conclusions in the winter. We will sign several ready-made players who will strengthen us. And we will definitely fight to stay in the UPL. We will fight until the last round.

“Our strategy is youth. We are ready to sell any player for good money. And that’s okay. Sports results are important to us, but the main thing is self-sufficiency. We are building infrastructure, a base. At the same time, we will definitely fight in every match to retain our place in the UPL.”

The other day, the Supreme Court of Ukraine officially announced that the Economic Court of the Rivne region opened bankruptcy proceedings against the public joint-stock company “Rivne People’s Club “Veres”. According to this notice, creditors have the right to file claims against the debtor within 30 days.

The head coach of the Rivne club, Sergei Lavrinenko, in an October interview did not deny Veres’ modest financial capabilities, however, in particular, he mentioned that “before the start of the season, the president decided to increase the salary fund.”

Veres is in penultimate place in the UPL. Lavrinenko’s team, which has not won since September 1, will host Metalist 1925 in the Ukrainian Championship on November 25.
