Augusto Melo wins elections and will assume presidency of Corinthians

Opposition candidate, Augusto Melo, a 59-year-old businessman, leaves André Negão behind and removes the group led by Andrés Sanchez from power

On the afternoon of this Saturday, 25th, Augusto Melo won the elections Corinthians and will be the club’s president between 2024 and 2026. In total, 4,184 Corinthians members participated in the votes and, in the end, Augusto Melo received 66.2% of the votes, while André Negão received 33.8%. Voting was carried out at the club’s headquarters from 9am to 5pm, with a quick counting of electronic ballot boxes, ending around 6pm.
