Defender “Krasnodar” Vitor Tormena suffered a concussion following a collision with a teammate goalie Matvei Safonov during the first half of the MIR RPL 16th round match against “Ural” according to the meeting minutes.
The meeting took place on Sunday in Yekaterinburg and ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the home team. Tormena was replaced in stoppage time in the first half and the footballer collided head-on with Safonov. Both players received medical assistance, but the Brazilian was unable to continue the match, unlike the Russian. Georgiy Harutyunyan entered the field instead of Tormena.
As follows from the protocol, Tormena suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI), after which he was replaced by the brand “TBI”. According to Krasnodar doctor Denis Shakhaev, the preliminary diagnosis of the footballer is as follows: contusion of the soft tissues of the upper eyelid on the left, laceration in the eyebrow area on the left, as well as concussion.
“Krasnodar” with 32 points occupies second place in the RPL ranking; in the next round, Vladimir Ivich’s team will host “Orenburg” on December 3.
