Devin expects a spectacular fight between Usyk and Fury
Absolute world lightweight champion and contender for the WBC junior welterweight title Devin Haney commented on the upcoming unification fight in heavyweight for the title of absolute world champion between Alexander Usik And Tyson Fury.
“I think it’s a great fight. I’m a Fury fan, so I’ll pick him,” Haney said.
The fight between WBC heavyweight title holder Fury and WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO world champion Usyk will officially take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Initially, the event was planned to be organized on December 23. However, it later became clear that the “Gypsy King” would not have time to prepare for this time after the fight with Francis Ngannou at the end of October.
Fury defeated Ngannou via split decision. It was reported that the Briton received two cuts in a fight with the former UFC champion.
Usik fought his last fight on August 27 in Wroclaw, Poland. The Ukrainian knocked out Daniel Dubois in the 9th round and defended his championship titles.
