The midfielder gave an assist to Nikolai Matvienko
Midfielder Shakhtar Alexander Zubkov recognized as the best player of the match Antwerp (1:0) in the fifth round of Group H Champions League.
“He was a threat throughout the game, technically impeccable in control. He assisted the defenders and was creative with his movements, getting into good positions between the lines. He worked hard without the ball and showed discipline for the team. Always a threat with his delivery from set pieces,” the UEFA technical observer noted in the report.
Zubkov gave an assist to Nikolai Matvienko in the match with Antwerp. Note that Matvienko scored his debut goal in the Champions League.
Shakhtar scored 9 points and remains in third place in Group H. The miners guaranteed themselves participation in European competitions in the spring. The final place of Marino Pusic’s team, on which the further tournament (play-offs of the Champions League or Europa League) will depend, will be determined after the last round. In the final match of the group round, Shakhtar will play away against Porto on December 13.
